I make no claims for originality of thought but simply dream and muse aloud. Ideas about life as it is in all its richness, tragedy and mundanity. A simple philosopher with a female perspective, this will be my experimental cook pot to stir together all the things I have read, heard, seen, lived, or things that just caught my attention and that I'm thinking about. I'm a creative; painting and writing are my groove and my therapy. I make money doing both which is cool since I love both. Enjoy!

Broken
We came home from a fun evening with friends at Lake San Marcos, and Nico was so excited to see us that she peed in the hall. I went to change clothes and came trucking down the hall, barefooted of course, and hit the puddle and my feet went flying. Dwight was standing there and as I grasped for the wall, trying to break my fall, he looked on unreactive. Just happened too fast. Well, the "grasping for the wall" maneuver broke my arm. Yay. I hate ER so badly I waited to see a doctor the next day. I have three nondisplaced fractures of the largest arm bone. 5 weeks in a cast and two in a splint. Fortunately I have an awesome husband to wait on me.
